Women's Self Defense-1 (WSD-1)  This course lays the foundation for the entire Women's Self Defense series and is a prerequisite for Women's Self Defense-2. These courses are adapted from the Defensive Tactics series of courses, however, there are a few differences as these are tailored specifically to women. They are specifically designed for women who want to learn highly effective strategies and tactics for self defense. The combatives you will learn have been adapted and distilled from a variety of martial arts and other fighting sources. This course is 2.5 hours.

While the term combative may seem "violent" it is simply defined as this; a set of fighting principles and techniques that are extremely effective and can be recalled and applied under stress. All of the combatives you will learn address the physical, physiological and mental aspects that you may be confronted with in a personal threatening physical encounter. 

The odds of prevailing in a violent personal attack is dramatically enhanced by learning a few mental and physical combatives. You will never lose a fight you are not in. The mental and physical skills you will learn in this course are crucial and can be adapted on some level by virtually anyone. This course is a must for all women who desire a stronger sense of security and confidence.

This course is a combination of classroom and physical skills training. Appropriate for ages 14 and up. All physical activity is practiced at your own comfort level.
